I have had an enjoyable and varied racing career from the ripe old age of six, racing through the schoolboy motocross ranks until age of 17 when I had the chance to ride a Yamaha RD250 LC at Brands Hatch – from then on I was hooked!
I raced in my first hotly contested 250cc production race at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk on my beloved Yamaha LC, and had such a rush of adrenaline after finishing 11th, that I knew I wanted to race professionally.
My mum, Corinne, dad, Terry Snr. and younger sister, Lisa, all supported me throughout my racing career with bundles of encouragement and help.
Though it must have been hard for them as racing took up so much of our time and efforts. I love and owe them all so much.
